Every year, over 10,000 people visit Rikketik, the largest vintage watch, clock, and timepiece fair in Europe and beyond. Spread over four fairs with stands and visitors from all over Europe, this is a true event for enthusiasts.
At the end of 2019, the acquisition of Rikketik was finalized. Shortly after, the COVID-19 crisis hit. In response to the restrictions, Rikketik tapped into their creativity. They organized online auctions and revamped their website to appeal to a younger audience.

At the same time, they introduced the option of selling tickets online to comply with the regulations at the time. Rich explains: “From that need, we started searching for a ticketing software provider that would integrate with our website, and that’s how we found Avayo.”
Rich quickly connected with Emiel Löhr from Avayo. “The contact is very pleasant, personal, and hassle-free. Getting questions answered quickly and personally is very important to us.”

Different Ticket Prices
Rikketik offers two types of tickets, for ‘early birds’, subscribers, and non-subscribers. Different prices are applied for these groups, and Avayo’s system easily handles this: “We have a database of subscribers who are eligible for a discount. Based on that, we offer different prices for tickets.”

Fast Access with Mobile Scanners
In addition to the software, Rikketik also uses Avayo’s mobile scanners for access control at the fairs, ensuring visitors can quickly enter if they’ve purchased their tickets online. “Avayo sends us the scanners well in advance of the fair. Visitors arrive, scan their tickets, and walk straight in. It works flawlessly.”
